Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the availability of four new 5th generation FRED Pt® 600 V Ultrafast rectifiers in TO-244 package - VS-VS5HD240CW60, VS-VS5HD300CW60, VS-VS5HD480CW60 and VS-VS5HD600CW60. The new 240 A, 300 A, 480 A and 600 A rectifiers from Vishay Semiconductors offer excellent conduction and switching loss characteristics to improve the efficiency of mid-frequency power converters and hard and soft switching or resonant circuits.
The rectifier conduction losses are lower than competing FRED Pt Ultrafast solutions in a TO-244 package. At the same time, the low reverse recovery losses can improve the efficiency of various industrial applications, such as high frequency welding and ballast water management systems. High-speed, high-temperature VS-VS5HD240CW60, VS-VS5HD300CW60, VS-VS5HD480CW60, and VS-VS5HD600CW60 devices for industrial applications, featuring Qrr typical as low as 260 nC, fast recovery time of only 52 ns, and operating temperature up to +175°C .
