The 74VHCT573A is an advanced high-speed CMOS octal latch with 3-state output, which is made of silicon gated 2MOS technology. While maintaining CMOS low power consumption, it achieves high-speed operation similar to the equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL.
Pin assignment
The 8-bit d-type latch is controlled by a latch enable input (LE) and an output enable input (OE). When OE input is high, 8 outputs are in high impedance state. The input voltage is compatible with the TTL output voltage. The device can be used as a level converter for 3.3V to 5V system interface.
System diagram
The input protection and output circuits ensure that 0 - 5.5 V can be applied to the input and output (note) pins regardless of the supply voltage. These structures can prevent equipment from being damaged due to mismatched power supply and input/output voltage (such as battery backup, hot plate insertion, etc.).
