TinyGreenPC - Fully upgradeable and expandable fanless PC quadruples performance

TinyGreenPC has introduced a fully upgradeable and expandable fanless PC with performance and storage capacity that is 30% smaller than the previous fanless FitPC2. The new "fitlet" is based on an AMD quad-core processor, providing unprecedented scalability for a compact fanless PC. Users can easily install and upgrade memory, storage, networking, expansion cards and operating systems. The TinyGreenPC fitlet integrates a quad-core AMD A4 Micro-6700T with up to 8GB of memory, Radeon R3 graphics, up to 6GB of solid-state STA storage, and up to 4GbE LAN ports. The main function of fitlet is its FACET interface (function and connectivity T card). This interface provides 3PCIe channels, USB and LPC buses on a standard mini-PCIe connector, providing OEMs with incredible freedom, making it possible to customize a PC according to their needs. Users can add any off-the-shelf card, but most people will probably install a dedicated FACET card with multiple interfaces and connectors. FACET's electrical and mechanical specifications are in the public domain, allowing third parties to design their own fitlet extensions. Three fitlet models are provided. Fitlet-I provides the above complete specifications, as well as WLAN, micro-SD, 6 USB ports, active SATA, RS-232, SMBUS, UART, 8 GPIO and mobile data communication functions. fitlet-X includes a FACET LAN card and provides four GbE ports. The company states that the entry-level fitlet-B is powered by a dual-core AMD processor and provides powerful and cost-effective building blocks for robotics, telemetry, and basic digital signage applications.
