PVL has launched a new range of IO-Link sensors manufactured by Euroswitch Spa. For deployment in Industry 4.0 systems.
The innovative new sensor family includes a 987 piston differential pressure transmitter with a pressure range of 2-10 bar with a 1O-link and 2 PNP contacts; ESL Level/temperature sensor with 4-20mA signal output, developed specifically for monitoring level, provides two settable PNP or NPN thresholds for level or temperature; And EST temperature sensor, standard operating temperature from -20C to +100C (others available upon request), 4-20mA signal output, two digital PNP/NPN.
What the new sensors have in common is the combination of the IO-Link protocol for point-to-point communication between compatible IO systems and field devices. As an open standard, it allows two-way data exchange between sensors and devices that support it. Each sensor has an IOD file that describes the device and its IO-Link functionality.
IO-Link communication offers many advantages, all of which translate into improved machine management and increased process efficiency, resulting in lower overall costs. Includes the possibility to use standard unshielded three-wire cables, advanced diagnostics and increased data availability, remote configuration and monitoring, and simplified equipment replacement.
