The LP2952 and LP2953 are micro-power regulators with extremely low static current (typically 130 μA at 1 mA load) and extremely low step-down voltage (typically 130 μA at 1 mA load). Light load 60mv, load current 250ma 470mv). They are perfect for battery powered systems. In addition, the static current increases only slightly when discharged, extending the battery's life.

The LP2952 and LP2953 retain all of the desirable features of the LP2951, but offer greater output current, additional functionality, and improved shutdown functionality. When the shutdown is activated, the internal crowbar quickly pulls down the output. If the output voltage exceeds the regulation, the error flag will be lower. Provides reverse battery protection.
The internal reference voltage is available for external use, providing low tc. Reference very good line and load regulation. These parts are available in DIP and surface mount packages
