Texas Instruments ISOUSB111DWXEVM Evaluation Module (EVM) is used to evaluate a high-performance 5000VRMS reinforced isolated USB repeater in a 16-pin SSOP (DWZ-16) package. The evaluation module has test point and jumper options to support evaluation with minimal external components. These test points allow the user to thoroughly evaluate the ISOUSB111DWX device before integrating the device into the user's design. To facilitate the evaluation module being powered by a variety of power sources, including regulated power supplies, standard USB 2.0 receptacles, and standard DC adapters, the evaluation module includes a transformer driver (SN6501), a transformer (CMP-0030614-1), and three adjustable outputs LDOs (TPS76701 and TPS73701).
Texas Instruments ISOUSB111DWXEVM can be configured to power a 3.3V supply using the provided LDOs, or bypass these external LDOs and use the internal LDOs. The evaluation module can be modified to run with or without an external LDO and test configuration. This evaluation module can be used to verify many parameters in the ISOUSB111DWX data sheet, such as data rate, current consumption, and more. Some specifications require a different test setup configuration than the ISOUSB111DWXEVM, therefore, these specifications cannot be verified from the evaluation module.
