Texas Instruments TLIN1024-Q1 Quad Local Interconnect Network (LIN) is a physical layer transceiver that integrates wake-up and protection functions. The device meets LIN2.0, LIN2.1, LIN2.2, LIN2.2A and ISO / DIS 17987–4.2 standards. This LIN is a single-line bidirectional bus and is typically used in low-speed automotive networks with data rates up to 20kbps. The receiver can maintain data rates up to 100kbps for serial programming. The device has two independent dual LIN transceiver modules. The VSUP 1/2 controls separate the dual transceiver modules.
The device uses a current-limited waveform shaping driver to convert the LIN protocol data stream on the TXD input into a LIN bus signal, thereby reducing EME. The receiver changes the data stream to a logic-level signal, which is sent to the microprocessor through the open-drain RXD pin. Ultra-low current consumption is achieved using sleep mode, which can be awakened via the LIN bus or EN pin. Integrated resistors, ESD protection and fault protection allow designers to save board space in their applications.
Typical applications include body electronics and lighting, infotainment and clusters, hybrid electric vehicles and drivetrains, and passive safety.
