Texas Instruments (TI) INA300 is a high common mode current detection comparator configured to detect overcurrent conditions by measuring the voltage generated across the current sense resistor or shunt resistor.
The device can measure this differential voltage signal at a common-mode voltage of 0 V to 36 V, regardless of the supply voltage. The device has an adjustable threshold range that can be set using a single external limit setting resistor. The optional hysteresis function allows the comparator to be adjusted to accommodate a wide input signal range of 0mV to 250mV.
The open-drain alarm output on the device can be configured to operate in a transparent mode where the output state follows the input state or in a latch mode where the alarm output is cleared when the latch is cleared. The device response time setting is optional, enabling an overcurrent alarm to be issued within 10µs.
The device operates from a single power supply from 2.7V to 5.5V, with a maximum supply current of 135 µA. It is specified in the extended operating temperature range (-40C to + 125C) and is packaged in QFN-10.
