ProTek Devices has introduced a steering diode /TVS array that provides an ultra-low capacitance of 0.3pF, typical of I/O to ground. It is used for circuit protection of common computing interfaces, such as HDMI and DVI, USB, SATA and PCIe, etc.
New components provide ESD protection. 25kV four-data cable. It also provides a low leakage current of 0.1uA. In addition, the new device - PLR0504FN5 - is compatible with IEC standard 61000-4-2 (ESD): Air +/ -15kV and contact +/ -8kV, with 61000-4-4 (EFT): 40A, 5/50ns, and 61000-4-5(surge): 3A-8/20 microseconds.
At higher operating frequencies or faster edge rates, insertion losses and signal integrity are major problems. This new device, with passive components integrated into the TVS/ filter network, can be used for EMI/RFI protection in this case. The equipment also conforms to RoHS and REACH standards.
Components come in a moulded DFN-5 package. Other mechanical and packaging characteristics include operating and storage temperatures of -55℃ to 150℃ and lead-free pure tin plating (annealed). The assembly has a soldering reflow temperature (pure tin :Sn, 100) of 260℃ to 270℃. It also has a UL 94V-0 flammability rating. And the device weighs only about 5 milligrams.
