The 33689 is a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) control System foundation chip (SBC) that combines many of the common features found in MMC-based systems with Local Interconnect Network (LIN) transceivers. Applications include power Windows, mirrors and seat controls.
The 33689 features a 5.0V, 50 mA low differential voltage regulator with complete protection and reporting features. The device provides complete SPIreadable diagnostics and optional timed watchdog error detection operations. The LIN transceiver waveform shaping circuit can be disabled for higher data rates.
A 50 mA and two 150 mA high-side switch output protection can be used to drive inductive or resistive loads. The 150 mA switch can be pulse-width modulation (PWM). Two high voltage inputs can be used for contact monitoring or as external wake up inputs. Current-sensing operational amplifiers can be used for load current monitoring.
The 33689 has three operational modes:
● Normal (all functions available)
● Sleep (VDD OFF, wake up via LIN bus or wake-up inputs) • Sleep (VDD OFF, wake-up via LIN bus or wake-up inputs)
● Stop (VDD ON, wake up via MCU, LIN bus, or wake-up inputs) • Stop (VDD ON, wake-up via MCU, LIN bus, or wake-up inputs)
