The ISL6314 single phase PWM control IC provides accurate voltage regulation systems for advanced microprocessors. The controller IC maintains the same functionality as the polyphase product family, but reduces the output to single phase for low current systems. By reducing the number of external parts, this integration optimizes cost - and space-saving power management solutions. A standout feature of the controller IC is its multi-processor compatibility, allowing it to work with Intel and AMD microprocessors. Includes programmable VID code for Intel VR11 and AMD 5 - and 6-bit DAC tables. A circuit is provided for remote voltage sensing that compensates for any potential difference between remote and local ground.

The output voltage can also be positively or negatively offset by using a single external resistor. Another unique feature of ISL6314 is the addition of a circuit that allows optimization compensation to be added for flatter load transient response and well controlled dynamic VID response.
