Rohde & Schwartz presented the new EPL1000 EMI measuring receiver at EMV 2023 Stuttgart for reliable authentication measurements while greatly reducing test time. The EPL 1000 complies with CISPR 16-1-1 standards and is suitable for certified measurement. The instrument also reduces the uncertainty of pre-certified measurements when used for pre-certification.
Very fast time domain scanning allows the EPL1000 to cover all frequencies in the CISPR band A or B in a single scan for fast and seamless long time measurements when needed or necessary. The user-friendly graphical user interface helps EMC engineers quickly identify accidental electromagnetic emission and perform high-quality inspection analysis. Repeatable, standards-compliant test results ensure high product quality.
The EPL1000 is a compact, complete and CISPR 16-1-1 compliant measurement receiver for fast and accurate measurement of EMI up to 30MHz. The built-in spectrum analyzer and tracking signal generator capabilities make the R&S EPL1000 ideal for a variety of laboratory applications.
EPL1000 has pulse protection input function. The adaptive range function prevents overload of the processed signal to ensure correct measurement results. Built-in preselection ensures high dynamic range and the ability to capture short pulses. For detailed signal analysis, the EPL1000 has spectrogram and intermediate frequency analysis capabilities. In addition, the automation capability simplifies the measurement process and ensures accurate repeatability of the test flow.
For example, with the push of A button, the test can be completed for CISPR bands A and B of all lines under test connected to R&S LISN. The test result is automatically compared to the configured limit line, and R&S EPL1000 will display the entire measurement result as PASS/FAIL. The built-in integrated report generator makes it easy to save and print results and measure details.
Additional spectrum analysis capabilities facilitate detailed EMI analysis. The optional integrated CW signal generator has the function of a tracking signal generator and can characterize the accessories and cables used without the need to use an external signal generator. In addition to standard power supply, this compact measuring receiver can also be powered by 12/24 V DC or battery, making it very flexible and portable.
