Hammond Electronics has introduced the 1551W series IP68 sealed version of its popular 1551 miniature enclosure series. The UL94-V0 polycarbonate enclosure is initially available in five sizes, all with plain or flanged covers, ideal for interior or exterior use. Available in black and grey, they feature a soft textured finish, all bases feature a PCB holder, and pre-formed silicone ferrules provide excellent protection against dust or water, protecting the encapsulated electronics.
The initial five sizes range from 60mm x 35mm x 22mm to 100mm x 59mm x 25mm. The flanged cover version makes mounting to any surface a simple and straightforward process and provides a degree of tamper resistance by stopping access to the cover and base retaining screws.
This series is the latest expansion of the extensive 1551 series and offers keyrings in three sizes. The universal IP54 ABS 1551 series is available in 18 sizes with flat or flanged covers. The flat cover version is available in black, grey or translucent blue, and the list version with flange is available in black or grey.
Rectangular and circular 1551V ventilation systems are used for sensors and small subsystems installed in manufacturing environments. One of its key features is the snap-on closure, which allows repeated opening and closing without tools, and maximizes the interior space of the pcb by eliminating screw fixing to secure the lid to the base.
They provide ventilation slots on all four vertical lid and wall mount slots, and 15mm cables on the base. All rectangular and round versions are also available in unvented styles in all sizes.
