Microchip's TC4426 / TC4427 / TC4428 is an improved version of the earlier TC426 / TC427 / TC428 series MOSFET drivers. When charging and discharging the MOSFET gate, the novice's rise and fall times match. The device is highly latch-up resistant under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. When spike noise up to 5V (of either polarity) appears on the ground pins, they are not damaged. They can withstand reverse currents (of either polarity) up to 500 mA without causing damage or logic disruption, and reverse currents are forced back to their output. All terminals are fully protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 4 kV. The TC4426 / TC4427 / TC4428 MOSFET driver can easily charge / discharge 1000 pF gate capacitance in 30 ns. These devices provide low enough impedance in both the on and off states to ensure that the expected state of the MOSFET is not affected even if large transients occur. Other compatible drivers are TC4426A / TC4427A / TC4428A series devices. The company said that the TC4426A / TC4427A / TC4428A devices have matching rising and falling edge input-to-output delay times, and matching TC4426 / TC4427 / TC4428 rise and fall times.
