LTC6754 is a new high-speed LVDS output comparator from Linear Technology. The device has a jump rate of up to 890Mbps. The high-speed device operates with a propagation delay of only 1.8ns, overdrive dispersion of 1ns, and jitter of 1.5psRMS. These features combine to solve the most challenging high-speed applications in data acquisition, clock and data recovery, and line reception.
The LTC6754 has a rated temperature range of -40C to 125C, its quiescent current is only 13.4mA, and it operates from a single power supply of 2.4V to 5.25V. The voltage range of the two inputs is beyond the range of the two power rails, making the LTC6754 suitable for ground detection applications. The LTC6754 is available in two packages. The LTC6754 in the SC70 package provides a small, compact device. The LTC6754 in the 3mm x 3mm QFN package has the same high-speed performance and has other features, including adjustable hysteresis, latching, independent input and output power, and shutdown.
