     Halo Microelectronics released the HL7593 and HL7594 devices, which are a series of synchronous buck converters optimized to provide different subsystems for portable applications. The IC has 15 bumps, 0.4mm spacing, 2.01mm x 1.21mm WLCSP, and is suitable for application processors, memory, HDDs, SDD, and mobile devices.

     The output voltage range of this series is from 0.6V to 1.394V at 6.25mV step or 0.27V to 0.6272V at 2.8125mV step through I2C interface programming. Their output voltages can be dynamically adjusted to provide dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) with programmable conversion rates. In addition, a variety of output capacitors can be used to optimize the stability of VOUT during load transient, and 0.33~0.47 H inductance can be used without affecting the stability of the loop.

     Under medium and light load, PFM is used to maintain the conversion efficiency, and the typical non switching static current is 48 µ a. Even with such low quiescent current, the HL759x maintains outstanding load and line transient response. Under high load, the system automatically switches to 2.4MHz fixed frequency PWM operation to obtain the minimum VOUT ripple and the best load transient response. In the shutdown mode, the power supply current is reduced to less than 1 µ A and the power consumption is reduced. In addition, if necessary, disable PFM mode through I2C register.
