SC2545 is a high performance dual PWM controller. It is designed to convert a wide range of input voltages into two separate output tracks. The SC2545 supports "stripping" tracing of both outputs at startup, which means that both outputs rise together until the output with a lower output level reaches its target.
The two channel PWM operation is 180 degrees out of phase, which can greatly reduce the size and cost of the input capacitor. Synchronous Buck PWM topology and voltage mode control allow efficient operation, fast transient response and flexible component selection for easy design. An internal 10V linear regulator provides bias to the controller, and this voltage is optimized for the grid driver to provide high efficiency. Full support for power sequence, including independent start, good power output.
In off mode, the controller draws only 100nA from the power supply. The controller also provides full protection under conditions of voltage, overvoltage, and overcurrent. A current sensing resistor is not required because the MOSFET on the resistor is used for sensing components. The switching frequency is adjustable from 100 kHz to 300 kHz. Two packages of TSSOP-24 and MLPQ-24 are available.
