The ISL91117 is a highly integrated boost switch regulator for battery powered applications. The device provides power solutions for products using two - or three-cell alkaline, NiCd or NiMH, or single-cell lithium-ion or lithium polymer batteries.

The ISL91117 is designed for stand-alone applications and supports a fixed 5V output voltage or variable output voltage with an external resistance divider. The size of the power solution is minimized with a 2.34mm x 1.72mm WLCSP and a 2.6MHz switching frequency, which allows the use of tiny, low-size inductors and ceramic capacitors to minimize the size of the solution.
The device is capable of delivering 1.5A output current with PVIN = 3.3V and VOUT = 5V. The use of synchronous rectifiers maximizes efficiency at high loads. The no-load static current is only 35μA, which optimizes the efficiency under light load condition. Forced-pwm and/or external clock synchronization are also options for noise-sensitive applications.
