Diodes bring out the AP7387Q low voltage difference (LDO) voltage regulator. The device provides a maximum output current of 150mA, with a wide input voltage ranging from 5V to 60V, and a voltage difference of 700mV (typical value) at 100mA output current. The device provides engineering teams with an easy-to-implement point-of-load (PoL) solution for automotive audio, navigation, taillight, transmission control units, and battery management systems.

The AP7387Q has a static current of only 2µA, lower than many competing products. For systems that are permanently connected to batteries, this device is crucial, helping to extend operating time. It complies with AEC-Q100 Grade 1 specification, is manufactured in an IATF 16949 certified facility, and supports PPAP documentation. AP7387Q-XXY-13 uses SOT89 encapsulation, AP7387Q-DCW-7 uses U-DFN2020-6 (SWP) (UXC type) encapsulation.

Due to its wide input voltage, the AP7387Q can meet the load drop specifications of 12V internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles such as cars, as well as 24V internal combustion engine vehicles such as buses, long-distance passenger transport and trucks. In addition, the unit has a high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 70dB at 1kHz, which is optimized for noise sensitivity. Ldos can also respond to rapid changes in input voltage or load current, exhibiting fast line/load transient responses.
