Diodes Incorporated has announced the addition of three new 20Gbps devices rated at 1.8V to its massively programmable multi-channel linear ReDrivers product line to address the rapidly growing USB4 Gen3, Thunderbolt 4.0 and DisplayPort 2.0 standards. The ReDrivers PI2DPX2020, PI2DPX2023 and PI2DPX2063 are designed for notebook, desktop, workstation, active cable, monitor and docking products applications. Its low power consumption and compact package are also highly optimized for tablets and notebooks.

Each new Linear ReDriver allows flexible adjustment of signal integrity parameters, such as equalizer and flat gain, through a variety of available settings. This mitigates channel losses and increases coverage. These devices are transparent to channel link training. Additionally, they exhibit ultra-low latency data (<300ps).

       The PI2DPX2020 supports different operating modes for maximum design flexibility. These are 20Gbps/40Gbps USB4 Gen3 (x1/x2), 20.625Gbps/41.25Gbps Thunderbolt 4.0 (x1/x2), 10Gbps/20Gbps USB4 Gen2 (x1/x2), 20Gbps USB4 Gen2/2-lane DisplayPort 2.0 and 4-lane DisplayPort 2.0 The 4-channel PI2DPX2023 20Gbps DisplayPort 2.0 (UHBR20) ReDriver supports pin setting equalizer and gain parameter control, while the PI2DPX2063 20Gbps DisplayPort 2.0 (UHBR20) is implemented through the I2C interface pins.

These new ReDrivers feature built-in automatic power saving mode, are supplied in a 32-pin W-LGA4528 package (2.85mm x 4.5mm x 0.7mm), and support the industrial temperature range.
