The AH376xQ series are AECQ100-certified AH376xQ series Hall-effect latches. They are the latest products from Diodes Incorporated and offer eight magnetic options to meet the needs of many automotive applications. Applications include commutation, coding and position control of various motors, pumps, fans and valves in the cabin for operating windows, sunroofs, seats, tailgates and air conditioners. Hall-effect latches are also used in the engine compartment to steer and sense the speed and position of crankshafts, camshafts, cooling fans, and water, oil, and fuel pumps. With an extended temperature range of -40C to + 150C and a supply voltage range of 3V to 28V, the AH376xQ devices can withstand harsh automotive environments with extremely low crank voltages and over-voltage offsets, providing robust and reliable operation. Comprehensive protection enhances this robustness: low-leakage diodes prevent reverse power connections; input and output clamps help withstand transient voltages; and output current limits prevent overloads. In addition, these devices have 8kV ESD capability and can withstand transient load dumps of up to 32V. The AH376xQ series offers 8 different magnetic operating and release thresholds (BOP and BRP) to meet various applications regarding magnet strength or sensor-to-magnet distance. These range from the highest BOP / BRP sensitivity + 25G / -25G to the lowest + 210G / 210G. Pin compatibility is maintained across the entire range, and all devices are available in industry-standard SOT23 and SIP3 packages. The AH3762Q / 3Q / 4Q / 5Q is also available in the SC59 package, which offers the opposite polarity for magnetic detection compared to the SOT23 package. The AH376xQ Hall-effect latch IC has excellent performance with a fast power-up time of 10μs and 3.75 Fast output μs response time to reduce delay and commutation errors. A chopper-stabilized design with a low temperature coefficient minimizes switching point drift and enhances resistance to stress. The open-drain output configuration further enhances flexibility, allowing the external pull-up resistor value to be adjusted according to the application. The AH376xQ series products are packaged in SOT23, SIP3 or SC59, which fully meet the requirements of the automotive AECQ100 standard and comply with the AIAG production parts approval process (PPAP).
