Data di Pubblicazione: 2023-05-09, Microchip Technology

Microchip Technology ATECC608B Encryption authentication device. The device provides ultra-secure encryption elements that allow for more secure connected systems and is ideal for a variety of iot applications such as home automation, iot node security and ID, industrial networking, messaging security and authentication, medical devices, ecosystem control and anti-cloning.

A CryptoAuthentication device can be used as a pre-loaded encryption key that is securely stored in embedded and Internet of Things devices, or as a cryptographic coprocessor that performs powerful encryption algorithms without taxing the resources of the host microprocessor or microcontroller. The device integrates several security features, including optimized key storage and authentication, the ECDH security protocol, and ECDSA signature authentication.

The device includes a 256-bit SHA/HMAC hardware engine, 10.5kbit EEPROM for keys and private keys, and a guaranteed 72-bit unique ID. The device is currently offered with eight-pad UDFN, eight-lead SOIC and three-lead contact package options, providing extremely low power consumption at 2V to 5.5V wide supply voltages. The device forms the hardware design together with the host microprocessor and is directly connected to the host via the I²C bus.
