Amphenol RF has introduced new and improved SMA and N-type coaxial connectors that have been optimized for low-loss cables. Low-loss cables have additional shielding in the form of bonded foil conductors to help improve grounding. The cables and newly optimized connectors are matched to 50 ohm impedance for maximum and reliable signal transmission.
The new SMA and N-type connectors are available in straight, bulkhead, right-angle and straight plug configurations. These connectors have crimped external attachments in standard hex crimp sizes for fast, secure connections. The redesigned SMA and N-type connectors provide stable electrical performance at high frequencies and have improved grounding capabilities for more stable RF performance.
Amphenol RF SMA and N-type low-loss cable connectors are ideal for applications requiring high reliability and low signal loss. The company said common applications include telecommunications networks, antennas, wireless systems and broadband communications.
