Cortec has introduced EcoShrink Compostable film, a commercial compostable alternative to traditional plastic shrink packaging for industrial packaging applications. And the introduction of feasible packaging scheme, can make the "circular economy" become a reality. Because a lot of people are looking for "greener" packaging these days.

The film is made from a certified commercial degradable resin and contains 45% biopolymer. After use, it can be treated in a commercial composting environment to reduce the amount of plastic packaging that often ends up in landfills. The film is shelving and binding stable and will maintain its integrity until properly handled.

Users of the film can shrink-wrap their small or large parts as usual to fit the shape of the object. The film provides a great way to keep dust, dirt and moisture out of warehouse inventory while bundling components in a streamlined package. Shrink wrapping can be done using a variety of standard shrink tools. In addition to its "green" advantages, the film has many practical properties. It was created for standard heat shrink applications.

The film is 2 or 4 mils thick (50 or 100 microns) and is 18 inches (45.72 cm) or 36 inches (91.44 cm) wide for a single roll or folded sheet. The reels are boxed individually or in cradle-packed trays.
