The MCP3002 is a continuous approximate 10-bit ADC with onboard sampling and holding circuits. Available in 8-pin MSOP, PDIP, TSSOP and 150 mil SOIC packages. Programmable to provide a pseudo-differential input pair or double single-ended input. Both differential nonlinearity (DNL) and integral nonlinearity (INL) are specified at ±1 LSB. Communication with the device is done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol.
The MCP3002 has a conversion rate of 200 ksps at 5V and 75 ksps at 2.7V. The converter operates at a wide voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V. The low-current design allows for a typical standby current of 5 nA and a typical active current of 375µa.
