The CS5346 integrates an analog multiplexer, a programmable gain amplifier, and a stereo audio to digital converter. Available in 48-pin LQFP package in commercial (-40° to +85°C) grades. The CS5346 performs stereo analog to digital (A/D) conversion of 24-bit serial values at simple rates up to 192khz. Includes a 6:1 stereo input multiplexer for choosing between in-line level and microphone level input.
Logic diagram
The microphone input path includes a +32 dB gain stage and a low noise offset voltage power supply. PGA can be used for line or microphone input and provides ±12 dB gain / 0.5 dB attenuation step size. The PGA output is followed by an advanced 5-order, multi-bit delta-sigma modulator and digital filtering/extraction.
The sampled data is transmitted through the serial audio interface in slave or master mode at rates of 8 kHz to 192 kHz. The integrated level converter allows a simple interface between the CS5346 and other devices operating at a wide range of logic levels.
