Graviton Unveils S2124B AI and HPC Server with Russian-Made Processors

Postare su dicembre 27, 2024

Russian server manufacturer Graviton has announced the launch of its S2124B server, designed for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads. This server is notable for being powered by domestically developed processors, featuring up to eight GPU accelerators to handle demanding computational tasks.

The S2124B is based on two 48-core CPUs, likely Baikal Electronics BE-S1000 chips with Arm Cortex-A75 cores, operating at 2 GHz. The design supports SMP configurations and offers DDR4-3200 memory compatibility. Its GPUs are suspected to be Nvidia H100 PCIe, although Graviton has not explicitly confirmed this, possibly due to import restrictions.

The server delivers up to 480 FP64 TFLOPS and 26,726 FP8/INT8 TFLOPS performance, making it suitable for AI training, machine learning, and large-scale data processing. It includes a robust 4U chassis supporting up to eight GPUs, 12 SATA drives, or NVMe U.3 SSDs for high storage flexibility.

Graviton highlights the S2124B as a significant step in advancing domestic computing technology. The server is now available for order, with testing opportunities offered to customers. It is expected to be officially recognized as a first-tier domestic electronic product by early 2025.
